CSR INITIATIVE BY IRCON THROUGH MAHAVIR INTERNATIONAL

Our commitment to offer best possible treatment and delivery services have won hearts of our beneficiaries. MID in association with IRCON had organized “Eye and Health Check up Camps” for Northern Railways Schools, Delhi Region. The main aim was to create awareness among School Children and their parents.

The Children at Shishu Niketan Nursery School, Paharganj & Shishu Shiksha Kendra, Tuglakabad were of the age group between 3 to 5 years and the Children at Navchetna Special School, Kishanganj were Mentally and Physically Challenged. In the health Check up camp, eyes of each student were checked for vision impairment and other issues. General health Checkup was also conducted by measuring height, weight and undertaking dental examination, oral and general hygiene, throat, chest, anemia, general health and specific complaints. These children are from economic weaker background. The camp was inaugurated by Mrs. Divya Sachan, President, Northern Railway Women Welfare Organisation, which runs these schools. Ms.Divya Sachan President Northern Railway Women’s Welfare Organization Delhi Region attended the camp and was pleased to see the medical services being provided to such small children (Shishu) with such zeal and enthusiasm.

Sh. Mohan Tiwari CMD, Sh. Ashok Kumar Goyal ED (Projects) and Sh. Vishal Gupta Dy. Manager CSR IRCON visited the campat Paharganj and appreciated the health checkup activity. CMD Sh. Mohan Tiwari showed keen interest in the activities of NGO. He also appreciated the work done by us. He made a special mention about the dedication of the team for such efforts and their hard work towards the society. It was indeed a moment of great pride for Delhi Center of Mahavir International.


DELHI CENTER MOVES A STEP AHEAD IN PARTNERSHIP WITH OTHER CENTERS FREE HEALTH CHECK-UP CAMPS ORGANIZED AT CHENNAI, HYDERABAD & VISHAKHAPATNAM (AP)

To expand its service oriented reach and to bring more and more persons under the ambit of free medical aid provided, Mahavir International Delhi once again organized outstation free Eye and Health Check-up camps sponsored by CONCOR at their Inland Container Depots at Chennai, Hyderabad and Vizag in partnership with other centers of Mahavir International.

It is a matter of immense pleasure to share that with the liberal and generous support provided by the dedicated team of respective Centers who put in their tireless efforts and responded favorably and expeditiously to our request for making such elaborate arrangements, made the camps great grand success besides creating awareness about the activities of Mahavir International in these cities. At Chennai, the beneficiaries were overwhelmed with the Dental treatment provided to them in the Medicare van.

The personal involvement of Officer bearers of Centers and CONCOR officials at all these places was really encouraging which also boosted our morale and provided us further impetus towards achievements of our cherished dream in the service of humanity to serve anywhere in India.


MAHAVIR INTERNATIONAL DELHI REACHES LUDHIANA AND AGRA FOR OUTSTATION CAMPS IN PARTERSHIP WITH LOCAL CENTERS OF MAHAVIR INTERNATIONAL

It is an element of immense joy for all of us that our long & arduous effort placed by the spontaneous support of our valued sponsor CONCOR we have received redeeming success in organizing outstation camps at Ludhiana & Agra with the support coming forth from our local centers of Mahavir International.

Recently Free Eye & Health check upcamps were organized at Inland Container Depots of CONCOR at Ludhiana & Agra with the liberal and general support provided by dedicated team of local Hospitals and social workers who put in their tireless efforts and responded favorably and expeditiously to our request for making such elaborate arrangements.

DEDICATION OF PHYSIOTHERAPY UNIT AT SHAHDARA HOSPITAL

It is a matter of great fulfillment that Delhi Center of Mahavir International received another momentous by dedicating the PHYSIOTHERAPY UNIT at one of its recently renovated hospitals viz, Tirath Ram Luthra Charitable Eye & Medical Research Center at Jwala Nagar Shahdara. The physiotherapy unit was dedicated to the patients of the hospital at the gracious hands of Shri K. L. Luthra, space donor of the hospital and our Director, at a function organized at the premises of the hospital on Sunday the 7th September 2014.

The function was attended by Chairman Sh. Ranjan Jain, Chairman Project Sh. Satinder K. Jain, Vice-Chairmen Sh. Anil Jain & Sh. Shekhar Bhandari, Treasurer Sh. Dinesh Jain, Director Hospitals Sh. Kailash Gupta, Director Ms. Anju Gupta and CEO Ms. Usha Kapoor. The function was also graced by the prominent personalities of the area who vehemently hailed free and quality medical aid being provided by the hospital.


DELHI CENTER STRIDES AHEAD OUTSTATION HEALTH CHECH UP CAMP IN CORPORATE HOUSES FOR THEIR CSR INITIATIVE

To achieve the target of ‘One Camp a Day’ under the flagship project ‘Doctor At Door Step’, Delhi center targets Business houses for sponsorship of camps at their outstation hubs.

On Saturday 27th September, 2014, Delhi center in association with Mahavir International Jaipur and Sewa Bharti Adarsh Nagar Jaipur organized Free Eye and Health Check up Camp sponsored by SAFEXPRESS PVT.LTD. at their hub in Vishwakarma Industrial Area Jaipur to provide free check up and Medical aid to their drivers and other workers. Medical/para-medical staff from the following hospitals attended to the beneficiaries.

  • Bhagwan Mahavir Cancer Hospital & Research Centre, Jawaharlal Nehru Marg , Jaipur.
  • Mahatma Gandhi Medical College & Hospital, Sitapura, Jaipur.

The camp was a grand success. A bead was extracted from the ear of a boy at the site only. Besides Health/Eye check up ,free medicines were distributed.

The management had made excellent arrangements in providing infrastructure for organizing camp.


REHABILITATON OF UTTARAKHAND FLOODS VICTIMS - CONSTRUTION STARTED

In its continued efforts to provide relief to victims of Natural Calamities, Mahavir International Delhi took the initiative to provide relief to the victims of 2013 flood victims of Uttarakhand by reconstructing a hospital at Gairsain, Distt. Chamoli, one inter college building at Notti, block Karanprayag, Distt, Chamoli and reconstruction of 21 dwellings at an aggregate estimated cost of Rs-170 Lakhs. A MOU to this effect was signed with the Government of Uttarakhand.

The reconstruction and rehabilitation work was started in right earnestness by performing bhoomipoojan of sites of hospital and Inter college by our worthy Mahavir nternational President Apex, Shri Shanti LalKawar on 16th and 17th May 2014 respectively.

The work on inter college building is in progress and likely to be completed by November, 2014. Delhi center is constructing a teaching block of 5 rooms of size19 feet*18 feet. The Inter College lacks in facility of toilets. A toilet block of 4 toilets, 2 for gents and 2 for ladies is also under construction. It will be made friendly for physically challenged people. Roof over one of the existing class room will also be provided. We are also planning to provide solar lights in the newly constructed block. The buildingwill be finished with modern construction material with provision of concealed electrical cabling, tiling, provision of water storage and beautification with horticulture and is expected to costRs40 lakh.

Hospital construction at an estimated cost of Rs. 40 lakhs is expected to be ready by Feb. 2015.

Reconstruction of houses at Blocks (i) Srinagar 8 houses (ii) Narayan Bagar 10 houses and (iii) Nandpyag 3 nos involves a total estimated cost of Rs 90 lakh.

Apart from taking up Rehabilitation work, it has also been planned to organize periodical comprehensive health checkup camps in Uttarakhand to provide medical help to the poor and distressed of the area at their doorstep.

34th FOUNDERS’ DAY CELEBRATIONS

Delhi Center of Mahavir International celebrated its Founders’ Day on the evening of Saturday 6th July 2013 at PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry New Delhi. Shri Subodh Jain, Member Engineering Railway Board was the Chief Guest. The celebrations started with lighting of lamp by Chief Guest and other distinguished dignitaries. In his brief address Shri Subodh Jain lauded the efforts of our NGO in its contribution to help the poor and needy strata of society and the vision of Cataract Free Delhi.

In his brief Welcome Address Chairman Shri Ranjan Jain expressed his thanks and gratitude to the dignitaries for sparing their valued time to be a part of this great grand celebration and also to our esteemed members and donors. He made a particular mention of natural disaster struck in Uttarakhand and the extensive damage caused by it. For its rehabilitation he appealed to all to donate money for this cause with open hands.

Secretary Shri Sudhir Jain presented the Report on the activities and achievements of Delhi Center of just concluded financial year 2012-13.

Our esteemed donors and supporters were felicitated by presenting mementoes by Chief Guest.

Kavi Sammelan by S/Shri Sherjung Garg, Arun Jaimini, Banaj Kumar Banaj, Ved Prakash Ved, Amar Nath Amar, Jainendra Kardam and Mrs.Nisha Bhargava and Jasvinder Kaur Bindra added further charm to the whole celebrations. Dr. Prabha Kiran Jain was at her best in anchoring the whole event with ease and comfort.

Delicious dinner hosted by Board of Directors, served at the culmination of the function.


MOU OF RAJDHANI HOSPITAL RENEWED

Mahavir International Delhi renewed Memorandum of Understanding with Rajdhani Flour Mills Ltd. for managing and running Rajdhani Charitable Eye and Medical Center, Nabi Karim, Qutab road, New Delhi for the next 10 years. The MOU was signed between Sh. Chetan Jain, Director- Rajdhani Flour Mills Ltd. and Sh. Sudhir K. Jain Secretary, Mahavir International, Delhi in the presence of Sh. Ashhok K. Jain Chairman Finance.
